We keep up with the amazing cinema
of Abbas Kiarostami for another movie night.
This time we will watch Close Up, a movie that taught Iranian filmmakers valuable lessons, and was once ranked by a collective of critics (Sight and Sound 2012) as one of the 50 greatest movies of all time.
This docufiction follows the real case of Mr. Sabzian, a cinema lover who impersonates himself as Mohsen Makhmalbaf, a famous director.
While he fulfills his failed dreams by this identity swap, the family that was conned by his lie take him to a court...
